Welcome Ceremony for New Trainees

Today, on 17 September 2026, a Welcome Ceremony for the newly admitted trainees for the academic session 2026–28 was organised at the DIET Charaideo, Sonari.

At the beginning of the programme, the Hon’ble Principal of the Institute, Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, formally inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

The Hon’ble Principal addressed the newly admitted trainees, highlighting their vital role in the implementation of NEP 2020 and the effective integration of ICT in education. Through insightful analogies involving an ecosystem, conservation of energy and the use of appropriate tools by skilled professionals, he explained that every individual and resource has a specific role and must be utilised effectively for the smooth functioning of the larger system. He encouraged the trainees to transform their knowledge and skills into meaningful classroom practices and contribute to the educational ecosystem as responsible, competent and committed teachers.

The faculty members of the Institute also delivered motivational speeches, encouraging the trainees to approach their training with dedication, enthusiasm and a commitment to professional growth.

The senior trainees extended their warm wishes to the newcomers through a welcome address, making them feel comfortable and welcomed into the DIET family.

The group dance and group song performances presented by the trainees added colour and vibrancy to the ceremony and were highly appreciated by everyone present.
