TWO-DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME ON SAFETY AND SECURITY IN THE CYBER WORLD
A two-day training programme on “Safety and Security in the Cyber World” was organized by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Charaideo on 20th and 21st January 2026 for high school teachers of Charaideo district. The programme aimed to enhance teachers’ awareness and competence in addressing cyber safety challenges in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The programme commenced with an inaugural address by the Honourable Principal, DIET Charaideo, Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, who highlighted the growing relevance of cyber safety education in schools. He emphasized the responsibility of teachers in guiding students to become responsible and secure digital citizens.
Dr. Prithu Baruah and Ms. Anamika Bora served as the resource persons for the programme. Through interactive sessions, they deliberated on critical aspects of cyber safety and security, including online threats, data privacy, cyber ethics, digital footprints, and preventive strategies to safeguard oneself in the cyber world.
The training programme provided participants with practical insights into safe digital practices and emphasized the importance of awareness, vigilance, and responsible use of technology in both personal and professional contexts.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by a closing address by Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, Principal, DIET Charaideo. The training was well-received by the participants and proved to be a timely and meaningful initiative towards promoting cyber safety awareness among teachers.
