Four-Day Residential Training Program for Teachers of Mising Medium Schools

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Charaideo organized a four-day residential training program for teachers of Mising medium schools from 28th May to 31st May 2025 at the Basic Training Centre, Joysagar.

In his inaugural address, the Principal of DIET Charaideo, Shri Biman Chandra Dutta, briefly highlighted the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in providing primary education in the mother tongue.

The training program was attended by teachers from the districts of Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Charaideo, and Sibsagar. Resource persons skillfully and fluently presented their assigned topics and engaged the trainees through various interactive activities.

Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, Principal, DIET Charaideo, and Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer, delivered sessions on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy. Dr. Madhumita Chetia, Senior Lecturer, DIET Charaideo, presented on Multilingual Language.

These trained teachers will now serve as resource persons to provide further training in Mising medium schools within their respective districts.
