TLM DISTRIBUTION INITIATIVE TO STRENGTHEN SCHOOL EDUCATION AT DIET CHARAIDEO
The teacher trainees of DIET Charaideo, Sonari developed a wide range of Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) under the guidance and supervision of the faculty members of the institute to support effective classroom transactions during the School Internship Programme (SIP). Recognizing the relevance and practical utility of these materials beyond the internship period, a structured plan was formulated to distribute them to schools for sustained academic use as per requirement.
In this regard, a TLM distribution meeting was organized at DIET Charaideo, where representatives from ten schools of the district were invited to participate. Addressing the gathering, the Honourable Principal, Shri Biman Chandra Dutta, highlighted that the :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} envisions transformative reforms in the education system aimed at building a ‘developed India’, with particular emphasis on enhancing teachers’ quality, professional competence, and classroom effectiveness. He expressed optimism that the systematic use of appropriate and innovative TLMs would make the teaching–learning process more engaging, joyful, and learner-centred, thereby bringing qualitative improvement to school education.
The programme was coordinated by Smt. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer of the institute. During the event, the TLMs were formally handed over to the teachers of primary schools in Charaideo district. It is noteworthy that DIET Charaideo has been consistently supplying teaching materials prepared by its trainees to nearby schools every year as part of its ongoing academic support initiative.
The materials, reflecting the creativity, pedagogical understanding, and dedicated efforts of the trainees, are expected to enrich classroom transactions and contribute significantly to making learning more meaningful, activity-based, and effective.
