TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION AT DIET CHARAIDEO, SONARI

On the auspicious occasion of Teachers’ Day, the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Charaideo, Sonari, paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a distinguished scholar, philosopher, teacher, and former President of India, who illuminated society through the power of education. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the portrait of Dr. Radhakrishnan. On this occasion, a book prepared by the second-semester trainees in memory of their beloved teachers was also launched. The book, titled "মোৰ প্ৰিয় শিক্ষাগুৰু", was formally released by the Principal, Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta. In his address, the Principal remarked that this initiative provided the trainees with a unique opportunity to express their gratitude towards their teachers. He further encouraged the trainees to aspire to become successful educators and to dedicate themselves to the advancement of the education system.

This initiative of publishing a commemorative book on Teachers’ Day was introduced at DIET Charaideo in the previous year and has since continued as a tradition. The book was edited by Smt. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer, with associate editing by Samiran Bhagwati, a trainee of the 2022–24 batch. The background design for the book was prepared by Priyankur Khanikar, also a trainee of the 2022–24 batch.
