STATE LEVEL TEACHERS' CONCLAVE: REPRESENTATION FROM SIVASAGAR AND CHARAIDEO DISTRICT
It's indeed a great opportunity to the teachers of Assam to exhibit and showcase their performance in a State Level platform which was held at Assam Administrative Staff College w.e.f. 17th to 19th Dec 2025 in the aegis of State Council of Educational Research and Training, Assam. Mr. Netra Gogoi, Senior Lecturer and Dr. Prithu Baruah, Lecturer of DIET Charaideo were deputed to represent both Sivasagar and Charaideo District along with three renowned teachers of Sivasagar District namely Mr. Robin Phukan, H/T, Pachim Basti Tribal M.V School (under Khelua Education Block), Mr. Gautom Panging Gam, H/T Bortol LP School (Nazira Education Block) and Atiqure Hazarika (ARBCC, Amguri Education Block). It was a milestone and an immeasurable experience to those teachers who attended the event to witness the exhibition of best practices during the entire three days of the conclave representing different districts of Assam, especially in the field of education, viz., Innovative Pedagogical Practices in Teaching Learning Process, Use of TLMs, Use of ICT in Classrooms, Functioning of FLN and ECCE Activities, Holistic Process of Assessment, and execution of Leadership Practices.
Representing Sivasagar and Charaideo district, Mr. Robin Phukon, HT of Pachim Basti Tribal MES, showcased exemplary performance in mobilization of the socially backward tribal community through years of his dedication. He has been leading the school and community by engaging in academic and vocational activities such as setting up permanent as well as mobile libraries, making the school colorful by executing BALA, establishing a vegetable garden on campus, creating eco-bricks from plastic bottles, making green fences from herbs, planting trees for shade, setting up an isolation room for temporary medication of sick students, and organizing freshmen social functions for new young students, among others.
On the other hand, in the Poster Presentation, a very young and talented teacher of Bortol LP of Nazira Education Block, Mr. Gautom Panging Gam, showcased his exceptional work on TLMs. He presented his “magic box” of TLMs prepared especially for Class I and II textbooks, supporting Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, which, according to him, could be used for as many as 75 activities covering both Mathematics and Language.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Robin Phukon had already received national recognition a few months ago, gaining the opportunity for a national live telecast through NCERT, New Delhi to display his leadership activities. He presented his school in the conclave so effectively that it attracted the attention of all participants as well as the jury members of the conclave.
DIET Charaideo, being the guardian institute for both districts, feels proud to have sent a team of three representatives to the State Level Teachers' Conclave 2025 and hopes to witness the same level of performance from the teachers of Sivasagar and Charaideo districts in the near future.
