SCERT ASSAM INITIATIVE: SHOWCASING BEST PRACTICES BY DIET CHARAIDEO

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has undertaken a significant initiative to identify and showcase the best practices (exceptional activities) carried out by the District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) across the state, with the objective of developing these institutions as Centres for Excellence.

As part of this initiative, on 22nd October 2025, the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Charaideo, Sonari presented its best practices before the Hon’ble Director of SCERT, Assam, along with subject experts and academic officials representing various DIETs of the state.

It is noteworthy that DIET Charaideo, Sonari has meticulously compiled a comprehensive profile album titled “সময়ে যদি ঠিকনা বিচাৰে”. This album documents detailed information of trainees from the inception of the institute up to the previous year, covering the period 2012–2024, thereby preserving institutional history and academic records in a systematic manner.

The presentation of this profile album was made by Smt. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer of the institution. The effort reflects a high level of academic commitment, documentation discipline, and institutional memory building.

For successfully completing such a labor-intensive and academically valuable task, the Hon’ble Director of SCERT and all dignitaries present highly appreciated DIET Charaideo, Sonari and encouraged the institute to continue and strengthen this best practice in the years to come.
