Observation of World Environment Day 2025

World Environment Day 2025 was observed with great enthusiasm at DIET Charaideo, Sonari. A series of impactful activities were organized to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among faculty, staff, and trainees.

Activities conducted:

1. Campus Cleaning: The day began with a campus cleaning drive where all members of the DIET Charaideo family actively participated in cleaning and beautifying the surroundings.
2. Tree Plantation: Faculties and trainees were encouraged to bring saplings. Various useful plant saplings were planted in and around the DIET campus.
3. Poster Making: Trainees created posters to spread awareness about the importance of nature and environmental conservation.
4. Environmental Awareness Rally: A rally was organized starting from the DIET campus and covering a 2 km stretch. The rally aimed at sensitizing the local community on environmental issues. Slogans and posters were used to effectively convey the message.
5. Extempore Speech Competition: A speech competition on World Environment Day themes was conducted among student trainees. All trainees participated enthusiastically. The five best speakers were selected and will be awarded certificates.
6. Awareness Meeting: At 2 PM, a meeting was held where faculties, employees, and trainees gathered to discuss environmental concerns. The meeting was presided over by Principal Sri Biman Chandra Dutta. He emphasized the importance of "acting locally and thinking globally" to address the global environmental crisis.

The event highlighted the commitment of DIET Charaideo towards environmental conservation and inspired all attendees to contribute actively towards a greener and healthier planet.
