Launch of Pocket Book

A meaningful literary initiative was undertaken by the trainees of D.El.Ed. 2nd Semester of DIET Charaideo under the guidance of Aparajita Kaushik, Senior Lecturer. As part of this initiative, the trainees created a collection of pocket books comprising poems, stories, articles, and personal experiences. The primary objective of this activity was to provide the trainees with a platform to express and showcase their literary talents. A total of 49 trainees participated in the activity, each preparing one pocket book reflecting their creativity and writing skills. The initiative also aims to inspire the trainees to encourage students of Classes IV and V during their school internship programme to create similar pocket books, thereby nurturing creative writing skills among young learners. The pocket books were formally inaugurated by the Honourable Principal of DIET Charaideo, Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, in a solemn programme organised at the institute. The event was coordinated by Aparajita Kaushik, Senior Lecturer, and was attended by all faculty members as well as trainees of both the 2nd and 4th Semesters. The programme marked a significant step towards promoting creativity, literary expression, and innovative learning practices among teacher trainees, encouraging them to carry forward similar initiatives in schools during their internship.
