Academic and Cultural Exchange Programme

An Academic and Cultural Exchange Programme was organized between DIET Sivasagar, Sonari, and DIET Jorhat on 8th January 2025. The academic staff and trainees of DIET Sivasagar warmly welcomed the visiting team at the entrance.

The programme commenced with an Assamese song and was presided over by Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, Principal of DIET Sivasagar. The Principal ceremonially inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp, followed by a welcome song presented by the trainees.

In his address, the Principal expressed his hope that such initiatives would strengthen academic ties between the two institutions. He also highlighted the importance of exchange programmes in promoting academic collaboration, cultural understanding, and professional development.

Key Highlights of the Programme

1. Cultural Exchange: Trainees from both institutions showcased their talents through cultural performances, fostering mutual understanding, camaraderie, and harmony between the two DIETs.

2. Academic Collaboration: The programme aimed to promote mutual understanding and cooperation in teacher education and training. DIET Sivasagar presented an overview of the academic activities undertaken in the district.

3. Presentation of Institutional Activities: Mrs. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer, delivered a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the various academic, training, and outreach activities undertaken by DIET Sivasagar during the year.

The programme provided a valuable platform for academic interaction, cultural exchange, and collaborative learning, strengthening institutional relationships and encouraging the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and best practices in teacher education.
