Celebration of Independence Day
On 15th August 2026, the 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at DIET Charaideo. On this auspicious occasion, the respected Principal of the institution, Shri Biman Chandra Dutta, hoisted the National Flag and paid heartfelt tribute to the brave martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the nation. He also extended his warm wishes to all present on the occasion of Independence Day. In his address, Shri Biman Chandra Dutta highlighted the historical significance of Independence Day, the true value of freedom, and the duties and responsibilities of every citizen towards the nation. He encouraged the trainees to uphold the ideals of unity, integrity, discipline, and responsible citizenship. As part of the celebration, the trainees presented a patriotic group song and delivered speeches highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the sacrifices made by the nation’s freedom fighters. One of the notable and commendable initiatives of the programme was the provision of financial assistance to trainees who had been affected by the recent floods. The initiative reflected the institution’s spirit of compassion, solidarity, and support for members of its academic community during times of hardship. The entire programme was coordinated by Shri Mondeep Chetia, Lecturer, DIET Charaideo. The celebration served as a meaningful occasion to strengthen patriotic values, social responsibility, and a sense of national unity among the trainees and faculty members.
