SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (SIP) for Second Semester Trainees in Different Schools of Charaideo District

The School Internship Programme (SIP) for the Second Semester D.El.Ed. trainees was conducted from 4 May 2026 to 11 June 2026 in various schools across Charaideo District, Assam. The programme was organized as an integral component of the D.El.Ed. curriculum to provide teacher trainees with practical teaching experience and first-hand exposure to the school environment.

During the internship, the trainees engaged in curriculum-related school activities designed to develop their understanding of the teaching-learning process and the functioning of elementary schools. They observed classroom transactions, interacted with teachers and learners, and participated in teaching-learning activities under the guidance and supervision of teacher educators and school teachers. The trainees also gained practical experience in lesson planning, classroom interaction, learner engagement, classroom management and the assessment of students’ learning.

In addition to classroom teaching, the trainees observed the functioning of schools, interacted with teachers and students, and gained valuable insights into the professional responsibilities of a teacher. The internship helped them develop essential pedagogical skills, communication abilities, confidence and a sense of professional responsibility.

The School Internship Programme was a significant learning experience for the Second Semester D.El.Ed. trainees, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical classroom experience.
