Survey on Implementation of National School Bag Policy – 2020

As directed by the Government of Assam, a survey was conducted in private schools to identify possible violations and assess the implementation of the National School Bag Policy, 2020. In Charaideo district, a total of 76 private schools, including 4 CBSE-affiliated private schools, were covered under the survey. Academic Officers of DIET Charaideo, Sonari visited the selected schools and carried out the survey from 9th June 2026 to 11th June 2026. The exercise provided valuable information regarding the implementation of the National School Bag Policy, 2020, along with various aspects of school management, evaluation systems, classroom transactions, teachers’ training, and recent developments related to the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020. The survey also helped in understanding the extent to which the prescribed guidelines and academic practices are being followed by private schools across the district. The information collected from the institutions will support further review and necessary action by the concerned authorities. The findings of the survey will be compiled and forwarded to the higher authorities within the stipulated time frame for further consideration and necessary action.
