EXHIBITION–CUM–SALE ORGANIZED BY WORK EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AT DIET CHARAIDEO
The Work Education Department of DIET Charaideo undertook a series of structured activities aimed at producing, maintaining, improving, innovating, and transforming materials, facilities, and services to meet socially relevant needs through constructive and dignified forms of work. Emphasizing that work results in socially useful and valuable production, the department integrated the principles of work, education, and vocational orientation in a systematic manner.
Students were actively engaged in group activities, group discussions, and workshops following a conceptual understanding of the interrelationship between work education and vocational education. Under the dedicated guidance of Smriti Rekha Chetia from the Work Education Department, and as advised by the Honourable Principal, learners prepared a variety of products aligned with their prescribed syllabus, thereby fostering skill development, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial awareness.
After careful evaluation of the prepared products, an Exhibition–cum–Sale was organized on 10/02/2026 within the premises of DIET Charaideo. The programme was chaired by the Honourable Principal, Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, who delivered a valuable address encouraging students and faculty members to continuously enhance their competencies through the scientifically designed curriculum framework. He underscored the importance of skill-based education in nurturing self-reliance and professional excellence.
The entire programme was coordinated by Smriti Rekha Chetia of the Work Education Department. The initiative not only showcased the productive capabilities of the trainees but also reinforced the institutional commitment to integrating work-based learning with teacher education in a meaningful and socially responsive manner.
