ONE-DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME ON SCHOOL LEADERSHIP AT DIET CHARAIDEO
On 21st November 2025, a one-day training programme on “School Leadership and Roles and Responsibilities of a School Leader” was conducted at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Charaideo, Sonari. The programme was jointly organized by the District Leadership Cells of Charaideo and Sivasagar.
The training witnessed active participation from Principals and Assistant Teachers of Higher Secondary and Secondary Schools from both Charaideo and Sivasagar districts, reflecting a strong commitment towards strengthening school leadership and academic governance.
During the programme, the Principal of DIET Charaideo, Sonari, Shri Biman Chandra Dutta, addressed the participants and apprised them of the responsibilities that teachers and school leaders must undertake in the collective journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047. He also elaborately highlighted the crucial role of the academic community in ensuring the successful implementation of the aims and objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Shri Netra Gogoi, Senior Lecturer of the institution, explained the objectives of the training programme, setting the academic tone for the sessions. Senior Lecturer Smt. Aparajita Kaushik discussed the concept and significance of Pedagogical Leadership, emphasizing its impact on effective teaching-learning processes.
Lecturer Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Das elaborated on School Development Planning (SDP) and presented a comprehensive model plan to guide schools in structured and sustainable development.
Additionally, Shri Robin Phukon, Headmaster of Paschim Basti Tribal ME School, shared his insights on the pivotal role teachers must play in bringing about social change in the present educational context. He inspired the participants by presenting a model highlighting the developmental initiatives undertaken by his school.
The programme was efficiently coordinated by Lecturer Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Das, ensuring smooth conduct and meaningful academic engagement throughout the training.
