Visit of Dr. Siddhartha Sharma, Joint Director, SCERT – Jorhat Zone

On 19th June 2025, Dr. Siddhartha Sharma, the Joint Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jorhat Zone, visited the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Charaideo, Sonari. The primary objective of his visit was to review the School Internship Programme (SIP) being implemented by the trainee teachers.

A meeting was organized in the office of the Principal of DIET Charaideo, where the Joint Director interacted with the academic staff of the institute and held detailed discussions regarding the School Internship Programme. The Principal briefed him on the activities currently being undertaken by DIET Charaideo and also gave an overview of future plans. The Joint Director thoroughly examined all components of the SIP and expressed his satisfaction with the performance of DIET Charaideo.

He also interacted with the trainee teachers and discussed various aspects related to lesson planning, teaching-learning materials, and provided important suggestions for ensuring effective teaching-learning processes. He examined the teaching-learning materials prepared by the trainees. Additionally, he visited the Work Education department and observed the various materials prepared by the trainees.

Dr. Sharma also enjoyed viewing DIET Charaideo’s documentary titled “DIET Sivasagar Through a Bird’s Eye View” and expressed his appreciation.

The Principal of the institute, Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Joint Director for his visit and for inspiring everyone with his valuable suggestions.
