Rumonthan - Anubhavr Kolomere: A collection of sweet memories written with feelings in remembrance of DIET Sivasagar, edited by Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer, and co-edited by Samiran Bhagowati.
The book was inaugurated by Biman Chandra Dutta, Principal of DIET Sivasagar, Sonari, on 12th December 2024. He appreciated the efforts of the trainees and urged them to continue such initiatives in the future.
The main purpose of publishing the booklet was to preserve some memories gathered during their study period in the institution for the future and to develop their writing skills by systematically recording the feelings and emotions of the trainees.
GONIT ARU GONITOR HOTE
Gonit aru Gonitor Hote - A series of interactions with renowned mathematicians of Assam, edited by Deepa Rani Gogoi and co-edited by Smriti Rekha Chetia and Samiran Bhagowati.
The book was inaugurated by Prof. Gopal Chandra Hazarika, Retired Professor of the Mathematics Department, Dibrugarh University, on 23rd September 2024.
The book was written by the D.El.Ed. trainees of the institution under the supervision of Mrs. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Senior Lecturer. The entire task was carried out through Google Meet and completed over one month from March to April 2024.
The objectives of this initiative were:
- (i) To introduce renowned mathematicians of Assam to the world.
- (ii) To inform trainees and society about their contributions to the field of Mathematics.
- (iii) To help teacher trainees develop deeper insights into the content area of Mathematics at the primary level.
- (iv) To equip them with knowledge and skills to design appropriate activities for school children.
