WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2024 – CELEBRATION AT DIET SIVASAGAR, SONARI

World Environment Day 2024 was observed vibrantly at DIET, Sivasagar Sonari on 5th June 2024. The programme began with a campus cleaning drive, followed by the plantation of saplings within the campus.

A poster-making and art competition on environment-related themes was also organized among the trainees, encouraging creative expression and awareness.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta, Principal of the institute.

Mr. Mohan Baruah, retired Senior Lecturer of the institute and a committed environmentalist, was invited as the Chief Guest on this special occasion. He shared insights about his lifelong involvement with environmental causes, aiming to inspire the trainees to contribute towards building a greener Earth for future generations.

The entire DIET Sivasagar, Sonari family participated wholeheartedly, making the celebration both meaningful and impactful.
