As usual this year also on the 5th of September 2020, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Sivasagar, Sonari organized 'TEACHERS' DAY '. Seeing the pandemic situation the organizing committee had decided to celebrate the event virtually through ZOOM platform. The coordinator of the event was Mrs. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Lecturer of DIET. The programme was started from 4 p.m. and the trainees by Shantanu Sonowal and Lakhyadeep Phukan , trainees of DIET. Both the faculity member and the trainees participated enthusiastically and made the event beautiful. Trainee Liza Borah sung a song, Himanshu Kakoti recited a poem and Bornali Gogoi conducted speech on teacher's day. Dr. Bishnupriya Saikia(Principal(i/c) addressed the audience appreciated for everyone's performance, participation and effort. The senior Lecturer, Mr. Rajen Dutta and Mr. Biman Chandra Dutta delivered their heart touching speech overwhelming the trainees. The programme was ended with vote of thanks by Mrs. Deepa Rani Gogoi, Lecturer, DIET, Sivasagar, Sonari on behalf of the organizing committee.
